Privacy Policy

Flightpath Mortgage Advisors (“Flightpath,” “we,” “us”) provides educational and advisory tools for people buying a home — calculators, a down-payment-assistance matcher, and related reports. We are not a mortgage lender, broker, or loan originator, we do not take loan applications, and we do not pull your credit. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else can see it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, and password. Optionally a phone number.
- Your homebuying profile — household size, employment, income, monthly debts, savings, an estimated credit range, target location and price, and circumstances that affect assistance eligibility (for example veteran or first-generation-buyer status). All of it is self-reported. We never pull a credit report or verify these figures with a third party.
- Properties and calculator inputs — addresses you save, the numbers you enter, and the analyses you keep.
- Messages — what you send us by email or through a form.
Information we collect automatically
- Basic usage analytics — pages viewed, features used, and performance measurements, tied to a first-party identifier stored in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- Standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, used for security and troubleshooting.
Information from public and third-party sources
- Property-tax rates from the Michigan Department of Treasury’s published statewide rate report, and geographic boundaries from the U.S. Census Bureau, which we use to estimate the tax on an address you enter.
- Down-payment-assistance program terms compiled from program administrators and other public sources.
- Address lookup and mapping services, used to resolve an address you type.
If a real estate professional gave you access
Many people reach Flightpath through a real estate professional who sponsors their access — by sending an invitation, or by sharing a link that identifies them. This is worth reading closely, because it is the one case where another person sees your activity.
When your account is associated with a sponsoring professional, that professional can see:
- that you activated the tools, and when you were last active;
- a summary of what you have been doing — for example that you saved a home, updated one, or ran a calculator — delivered to them as periodic activity summaries by email;
- a summary of the assistance programs you may be eligible for, and an at-a-glance readiness indicator.
They do not see your raw profile figures — your income, your credit range, and your savings are not shown to them — and they do not see your password. If you arrived through a professional’s shared link, that association is recorded when you first give us your email address, even if you have not yet created an account.
You are attached to at most one sponsoring professional at a time. If you would rather not be associated with one, or want that association removed, email privacy@flightpathma.com and we will disconnect it. Removing the association may end access that the professional was paying for.
How we use information
- To run the tools — produce your estimates, match you to assistance programs, and save your work.
- To send you what you asked for, such as an emailed report, and service messages about your account, access, or payment.
- To provide the sponsoring-professional summaries described above.
- To improve the product, understand which features help, and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We share information with vendors who operate the service on our behalf and are permitted to use it only for that purpose: hosting and database providers, our transactional email provider, our payment processor, and address-lookup services. Payments are handled entirely by our payment processor — we never receive or store your full card number. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
How long we keep it
- Account and profile information: while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes.
- An unclaimed report saved from the public calculator: 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Email and analytics records: retained on a rolling basis for deliverability, security, and product measurement.
Your choices
- See or correct your information — most of it is editable in your profile; email us for the rest.
- Delete your account — email us and we will delete it and its associated data, except records we must keep.
- Email preferences — service messages about your account are required while it is open; you can unsubscribe from the rest.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising them. We honour these requests regardless of residency.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@flightpathma.com. We respond within 45 days.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, and access to production data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Flightpath is for adults buying a home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you directly. Continuing to use Flightpath after a change means you accept the updated policy.
